New generation USB DDM KVM reported
New Generation of USB KVM Switch with DDM (Dynamic Device Mapping)
which Eliminate Device Emulation Needs
Today, June-on Technology co., Ltd, a Taipei-based RD arm for ConnectPRO and other major KVM players, released the much anticipated newest generation of its USB DDM KVM switch lines. The newly released version offers improvement in the following areas:
1. Supports all USB HID devices (including touch-screen monitors, pen tablets, gaming devices, wireless keyboard and mouse combinations, etc...) to be shared among/between the KVM's connected systems. More end-point devices can be shared without generating any HPD (hot-plug detection) events on any of the connected systems, which is increasingly important as individuals and companies move to Windows 7 environments.
2. New concurrent Full-time Active DDC/EDID functionality is included in the new generation's hardware, which is a requirement put forth by Microsoft's guidelines for Windows 7 KVM switching solutions.
3. Provides support for more OS power saving modes to aid in saving electricity and cutting costs.
4. Simple hot-key identification and reconfiguration, as current hot-key combination can be identified on front panel of KVM switchbox, and a different hot-key combination can be selected.
5. A customized hot-key combination can be implemented with firmware upgrade via serial port.
This newer generation of USB DDM KVM Switches is changing the KVM industry once again, with advanced, patented technologies solely owned and developed by June-on. They are available in VGA and DVI versions with 2, 4, 8, and 12-port models to be available. ODM and Importers are welcomed to inquire.

Soon to be released USB with Hot-key controls
ConnectPRO is excited to be announcing that shortly, all USB PRO KVM switches will feature hot-key controls which allow a user to switch ports with a short key combination on the keyboard. This is the pinnacle of convenience for the operation of a KVM switch and is relatively new for 2-port and 4-port USB 2.0 KVM Switches.
For some time, other manufacturers have provided USB KVM switches that support hot-key controls, however, often times at the expense of general keyboard functionality. ConnectPRO's new PRO series featuring hot-keys is unique in the sense that it doesn't offer hot-key support at the expense of anything. A customer can still use their multi-function keyboard, as well as a wireless keyboard/mouse combination - there's absolutely no confusion caused by a single USB connector controlling both keyboard and mouse.
Another issue that users have sometimes had with hot-key KVMs in the past, is hot-key interference. The standard hot-key for all ConnectPRO KVM switches has always been the left Control button. In the event that that particular keystroke is used for something else on your computer or in a specific application, the new USB PRO with hot-key controls will allow you to change the hot-key to another of the 4 options.

ConnectPRO invites you to stop by their booth at Computex 2010 to experience the latest products that they have been developing. Computex, the second largest computer expo in the world, is held annually at the Taipei World Trade Center. The Taipei World Trade Center is connected via footbridge to the world-famous Taipei 101 building and shopping mall.
